The Lumen Software Custom Software Development Process The customer submits a preliminary Custom Software Requirements specification paper. If you have not created a custom software requirements specification you may contact Lumen Software's Custom Development Group to assist you in this process. Next Lumen Software's assigned staff will provide a general analysis of technical, operational and economic feasibilities based on the project specifications. Upon review of the preliminary study and the clients desire to proceed with a project, Lumen Software will prepare an Initial Work Order (IWO). The IWO provides a break down of the project into logical segments with time and cost estimations for each. Once the IWO has been approved by an organization with all operational procedures and plans completed, Lumen Software and the organization will sign a Statement of Work (SOW)contract based upon the IWO to formalize the mutual agreement of obligations, responsibilities, renumeration, etc. A dedicated Lumen Software team will be assigned to your specific project. All project progress and milestones are disclosed based on agreed to terms in the SOW. Clients are involved with system UAT (User Acceptance Testing) during a project's life. Deployment - The software is released to the client. Any contracted system documentation would also be delivered to the client as well.
