Part of the EzSDK is the Application Builder (AB). This application actually creates ready made applications that can be used immediately with no modifications. |
Application Builder For example, you have an Inventory Status Table you need to create the file
maintenance applications for. With AB you simply name the
application and select from the Lumenation Data Dictionary
the table you wish to create the applications for. Having done this you select
the List option. Here you create interactively the List application that allows
the user to select a record to maintain or delete and also submit to add a
record to the system. This is all done through the systems data dictionary. As
a developer you select your fields to be listed, any fields to be used in the
selection criteria, and more through pulldown choices out of the Data
Dictionary. You are then presented with a preview of the application.
Upon completion of this you can select the edit option. This provides you with
the database fields again through the data dictionary but you can also utilize
the Generate feature which will populate your
application with all applicable fields that can be updated. The system
automatically adjusts fields size based upon the type and
length of field. The developer also selects the field types
such as password, protected, text, etc. as well. Upon creating this the
developer can preview this part of the application. Upon finishing this the
developer simply select the Create option and the entire
application is created automatically! Remember the application that is created already inherits all the unique Lumenation attributes; User Application Access, User Data Access, and User GUI Interface. |
